The scary world of fake news

After attending the Influence webinar, I could only think of how scary it is to live in a world where people can be bought over with money....
The worst part is that most people don't know it. We are so brainwashed by what the media is feeding us, we are believing what they want us to think and playing right into their hands. The people who were supposed to be the gatekeepers and guardians of the truth are the ones who broke our trust. If you look at it, it becomes this vicious cycle where they control us, and brainwash us. So are we even thinking for ourselves anymore? Are your new innovative ideas really yours or are they there because they wanted you to think so?
With all this in mind, what can we do to prevent this?
Personally, I feel like fact checking is my best friend. I will no longer believe anything unless it has enough evidence supporting the story. Another thing, limited screen time is important. The more you get exposed to it, the more you are open to them imparting false doctrine into you.
Being aware of the problem is so important, because now you will think twice before helping them spread this fake news. So now that you know, share this news with others. Make others aware so that they can too be free from false doctrine.
Lastly, remember to live. and when I say live, I mean enjoy your life. Don't let the stress of the world influence the way you live. You only have one life, it is your duty to live it to the fullest
